Phil Lampert, President Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Lampert is responsible for the overall operations of Lampert Incorporated and its associated entities. These responsibilities include overseeing the development and management of new business opportunities.

With almost four decades of experience in the hospitality industry, including 28 years as Concessionaire in Custer State Park, Mr. Lampert has devoted the majority of his adult life in serving the traveling public. He has developed, instituted and educated a management team of professional people with expertise in multiple areas of operations. His vision and leadership qualities inspire dedication on behalf of his management team and associates and respect of his peers. Mr. Lampert has also held management and supervisory positions with the Howard Johnson Company. In addition, he has owned and operated independent food and beverage operations and retail establishments in South Dakota, Wyoming and Iowa.

Patrick Azinger, Vice President Director of Operations

Mr. Azinger has over 30 years of experience in directing hospitality operations for maximum profitability and guest satisfaction. He has held operational responsibilities in hospitality companies such as Marriott Corporation, Howard Johnson Company and Custer State Park Resort Company. Additionally, Mr. Azinger has owned, opened, and operated independent food and beverage properties in Indiana and California. Currently, he is a principle with International Hospitality Resources, Inc., a staffing and consulting company for the hospitality industry. Patrick and his wife, Sandra, also own Sojourner Vaction Rentals in the southern Black Hills. In addition to their ownership of numerous vacation rentals they offer a full service vacation rental program to vacation home owners who would like to explore the possibility of an income producing home.

Berni Johnson, Corporate Controller Office Manager

Ms. Johnson has experience as Corporate Controller for more than 27 years. Her duties have included overseeing the handling and reconciliation of large amounts of cash from several locations and analyzing operation and financial data for deficiencies, fraud, and compliance with corporate policy. Ms. Johnson prepares monthly profit and loss statements, supervises the preparation of payroll for about 350 employees including tip credits and allocations, and files quarterly payroll reports, W-2s, and 1099s. She has also prepared monthly revenue reports for the Game, Fish & Parks for Franchise Fees and Promotion Fees and Sales tax returns to the SD Department of Revenue. Her philosophy is to maintain a pleasant working relationship between the Corporate Office, Management and Staff.

Koko Ward, Vice President Director of Retail

Ms. Ward is responsible for P&L, Open to Buy, Merchandising and Staffing. She was trained by Allied Department Stores beginning in 1971, while as a college student. Ms. Ward has spent 37 years in various retail businesses; from regular retail to resort retail, she has increased the volume every season of her career. Responsibility for the bottom line and non-merchandise expenses has allowed her to develop a keen eye for proper growth. Fashion and style training has aided in every aspect of merchandising and selection. Having worked in stores that range from small "mom and pop" operations to some of the largest chain and department stores has proven valuable. Knowing consumer habits and product direction has aided in new category development as well as management of end-of-season inventories. Ms. Ward's years of experience in the markets for retail from New York City to Gatlinburg, Tennessee have enhanced her rapport with manufacturers and reps across the country.

Paula Efta, Human Resource Manager Training Supervisor

Ms. Efta has been involved in the hospitality industry for 25 years. She has held operational responsibilities with destination resort properties in South Dakota, Montana, and Arizona. As administrator, she oversaw all areas of operations for a regional hotel chain in Montana. She has developed several training programs in various locations, as well as written documentations for policy and staff orientation. Ms. Efta brings a strong staff selection, training, and guest service orientation to every project.
